Mario Hofer is one of the most successful active coaches with over 2200 victories and is ranked 4th in the all-time list of the best.
HISTORY
In the first race (Riemer Aufgallop) of the 1985 season, Mario Hofer saddled his first winner with the horse "Saldo".
In April 1988 the 100th winner was celebrated with "Münchner Lord" and in February 1991 the 200th winner with "Western As".
But also the successes in the Austrian Derby in 1987 with "Brooker" and 1988 with "Le Roi", as well as the victories in 1990 and 1991 by "Sir Felix" at group 3 level gave reason to celebrate.
On December 29th, 1992 the move to Krefeld took place and thus in the 1993 season one could prove one's skills for the first time in the headquarters of German racing.
In the first year, the winnings were more than tripled and increased again and again in the following years. On July 15, 2001, the 1000th winner could be picked up from the run.
Mario Hofer won the obstacle trainer championship in 2002 and 2003.
For 21 years - from 1993 to 2013 - the horses he trained won more than 1 million in winnings every year.
